Work to complete the GAXX project would occur 24 hours per day. It also had to be coordinated to deconflict ongoing production work in the plant. E&L accomplished the project without causing any production downtime for General Motors.
The E&L Construction Group renovated existing GM facilities to incorporate a new casting process. This Included a new mechanical and new electrical infrastructure. Foundations were required for the new robots and carousel casting equipment. The area also received powerwashing, new paint, and new lighting. To support the new casting process, multiple air house units were upgraded and repurposed.
