General Motors Project Management Program

E&L Construction Group has held the contract for the GM PDPM program since 2000. It includes all plants in Michigan (outside the Detroit Area), and those in northern and central Indiana

E&L averages over 450 projects per year at General Motors plants in the PDPM program. They range in value from $5,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. Eighty percent of the projects are Design-Build. Scopes range from smaller concrete flatwork to construction of truck docks, tressels, train wells, large scale roof replacement, large scale surface parking lot construction and replacement, column work, fire protection, rack work, presses, chilling towers, complex mechanical and electrical systems, etc. The majority of the work is accomplished while GM is in full production. This often requires additional screen partitioning, safety, and extensive construction planning to deconflict construction from vehicle production.
