It took 36 flat bed trucks filled with steel for the exterior envelope of the facility
There were a couple of interesting phases to this project. We received the steel for the main building in December and were setting steel all through the winter months in Western Michigan. The second interesting phase was that eight months into the project, the State of Michigan went into a Stay-at-Home order. Fortunately, this project was deemed as “critical” because it was for a utility company. We were able to work through the government order and maintain a schedule that would achieve Certificate of Occupancy by the end of the year.
